CANCELLED - 2020 GENEALOGY EVENTS IN BRITISH COLUMBIA…a few.



Plan to attend at least one face to face genealogy event a season.

CANCELLATION NOTES - ALL in person events are cancelled due to health concerns. Check the event websites for updates. 

Check these and your local institutions and organizations for upcoming events. Many genealogy events are free. Check local groups for monthly meetings with speakers or special topics.

LOWER MAINLAND - GREATER VANCOUVER


Cloverdale Library, Family History Department – temporarily housed at City Centre Branch, Surrey. The Genealogy section will close temporarily starting Feb 23, 2020 to move. Reopening March 9th back at Cloverdale Branch! 

FAMILY HISTORY “WELCOME BACK” TEA & SOCIAL on Friday, March 13, from 2pm to 4pm.  Drop-in.

Upon opening, the department’s resources (books, magazines, microfilms, and all databases) will be available during all of the library’s opening hours:

Great that you posted these. Networking with fellow genealogists, comparing notes and visiting nearby repositories can really move the research forward. Your fellow BC family history researchers surely appreciate having all this info in one place.
