Treasure Chest Thursday - Mum in her pennants - A Mother's Day Post

For Mother's Day!

My mum in Newdale, Manitoba, Canada, her home town.

This must have been for a local parade or the like. Mum doesn't look very happy but perhaps she's concentrating on keeping the pennants she's been 'draped' with on for the photo.

I can't read them all - there's Collingwood (Ontario);  Montpelier, Vermont; Toronto; and one for the Toronto Exhibition.

I know the family had been to Brandon and Winnipeg, and Regina, Saskatoon, Aberdeen and Balcarres in Saskatchewan, and to Toronto and Nottawa in Ontario, to Vancouver, Victoria and Sardis in BC and many places between.

These were mostly places where family lived: the Bates in Montpelier, the Scotts in Nottawa, the Grahams in Aberdeen, the Drummonds in Balcarres, the Irwins and other assorted relations in Vancouver and Sardis.

Now I wonder if Newdale, Manitoba had a pennant?
